Botlokwa Disabled Project

BACKGROUND

Batlokwa Disabled Project was established in 2009.  The project caters as a protective workshop for intellectually and physically disabled adults.  The project is registered as an NPO and is affiliated with APD Limpopo Province. The project is managed by a Management Committee.

CHALLENGES

Water - The project relies on water from the Municipality which is little and limited, which has a negative impact on their vegetable gardens.

Electricity - Eskom is yet to install electricity to the project since they require R45 000 for a sub station. This has hampered income generating activities such as sewing.
